i dont understand vegetarians like i didn’t fight my way to the top of the food chain to eat plants

Oh. You did that? Well congratu-fucking-lations to you for accomplishing such a daunting task. I mean, with humans being the most accomplished race evolutionarily, we could just develop a way to ensure that there would be less pain and unfairness to other living beings that share the world with us. But no, no. You worked really hard to get to the top. And while we’re at it, let’s just treat all of the other minority-esque creatures terribly too, because you worked hard for our place in the food chain. Let’s reinstate slavery, ban gay marriage, and heck; let’s just lightly electrocute everyone’s dogs, cats, and hamsters to the point where they are too weak to fight back- but their nervous system is still in working order- so they can feel it when we slit their throats. Because we’ve fucking earned it.
